KEYS AND LOCKS
How can I order replacement keys?
Replacement keys can be ordered through any Yakima Dealer using the part number “8872” followed by the three-digit key number (engraved on your key).
Hot tip: write your key number in your vehicle’s manual when you first get your Yakima gear – future you will thank you!
How can I find my key number (if I’ve lost my keys)?
If you’ve lost your keys and do not know your key number, drop into a Yakima Authorised Dealer that has a master key set (and take your product with you!) – they can use it to figure out which key you need. Not all stores listed on our Dealer Locator have a master key set, so we recommend calling ahead to check. Roof rack specialists that stock a wider range of Yakima products are your best bet.
If you need help locating a dealer with a master key set, get in touch and we’ll point you in the right direction.
SPARE PARTS
Where can I buy replacement spare parts?
Replacement parts can be ordered through any Authorised Yakima Dealer.
How long will it take for a Yakima Dealer to get parts in for me?
Lead times can vary depending on the part, as your dealer may need to source it for you.
We stock a large range of commonly requested parts that can be dispatched from our local warehouses, though some items may need to come from overseas.
Where can I get specific items or parts that my local Yakima Dealer doesn’t stock?
Some dealers may not be aware of the full range of parts they can order in for you through Yakima. If your local store says they can’t help, we recommend asking them to get in touch with us on your behalf – we’ll assist them in getting the right part for you.
WARRANTY AND REGISTRATION
How can I register my Yakima product? Do I need to register for warranty purposes?
You don’t need to register your Yakima product in Australia or New Zealand, and we don’t currently maintain product registration records for these regions.
Some product instructions mention online registration, but that only applies to customers in the USA. Just make sure you hang onto your receipt in case you ever need to make a warranty claim.
