Building Adventure Together: 10 Years with Empire of Dirt

Since 2015, Yakima has proudly partnered with Empire of Dirt, helping transport the bikes, tools and equipment needed to build some of New Zealand's best pump tracks, mountain bike trails and riding destinations.
Over the past decade, Empire of Dirt has grown from a passionate trail-building business into one of New Zealand's leading specialists in bike parks, school tracks, asphalt pump tracks and world-class trail networks. Along the way, their fleet has evolved too, with Yakima bike racks and roof rack systems carrying everything from mountain bikes to essential equipment across countless kilometres of New Zealand roads.
Now, we're excited to continue that journey.
As Empire of Dirt expands its fleet once again, we're helping outfit their latest vehicles with some fresh Yakima gear, including Yakima roof boxes, HangOver 6 vertical bike racks, RoadShower, and our latest roof rack systems, giving the team even more capability as they travel from project to project.
Whether they're heading into the mountains to shape flowy singletracks, building the next generation of school bike tracks, or creating community spaces that inspire more people to ride, we're proud to play a small part in helping them get there.
